So we make oral cancer screening a routine part of your dental check-up. 

At every check-up, your Lansdowne dentist will carry out a detailed assessment, checking teeth, gums and the inside of your mouth for any signs of oral cancer.

That includes checking soft tissues such as the inside of the lips, cheeks, the roof of your mouth and all the surfaces of your tongue. 

Because oral cancer can happen at any age, in smokers and non-smokers, we check all of our patients and if we have any concerns, we will immediately refer you to a hospital specialist.
